About me

I am an artist living and working in Devon. My practice is painting, drawing and photography using experimental techniques in order to reflect themes of transience and transition, traces of moments of coming in and out of being. In particular I am drawn by the landscape and nature, and our perceptions relating to time and space and light.
Initially I trained as a teacher of English, later working in alternative education before doing my Foundation Degree in Fine Art at Plymouth University. Apart from developing my own practice, I now work with people with acquired brain injury exploring painting and colour in a therapeutic context.
